Army Specialist Johnny Nguyen‘s mom, Van, cannot wait for the day her son will receive his specially adapted custom home and she will no longer have to constantly worry about his safety. Johnny, who lost his left leg while serving in Iraq, cannot use his wheelchair in his current home because there is not enough room. Johnny is often forced to wear his prosthetic for long periods of time, causing him much pain and discomfort.
“The new home will give my son the freedom to move around the house comfortably, and enable him to rest and recover,” says Van. “HFOT’s donors and supporters are not only going to make a difference in Johnny’s life, but also in mine. This is the best gift I could ever wish for.”
