Please upload a copy of your VA Specially Adapted Housing (SAH) grant rating narrative to this inquiry or submit a copy to [email protected] within 24 hours of submitting this inquiry. You may also mail or fax a copy to our Intake Department. The VA SAH grant rating narrative is the document that you received when the SAH grant entitlement was established. The SAH grant rating narrative is typically 2-3 pages long and has four sections (Introduction, Decision, Evidence, Reason for Decision). If you do not have a copy of your SAH grant rating narrative in your files you can request that a copy be sent to you by calling the VA at 1-800-827-1000.

Homes For Our Troops requires that applicants have the VA Specially Adapted Housing (SAH) grant entitlement established before releasing an application. If the Veteran has the VA Special Housing Adaptation (SHA) grant for loss of or loss of use of both hands, or Legal Blindness, an exception may be made. If you do not have the SAH (or SHA for loss of or loss of use of both hands, or Legal Blindness) grant entitlement established but think that you may be entitled to this benefit based upon the SAH (or SHA for loss of or loss of use of both hands, or Legal Blindness) grant eligibility criteria listed on the VA's website, please submit form 26-4555 to your local VA service center or apply for the entitlement via your VA eBenefits account. If you are determined by the VA to be entitled to the SAH (or SHA for loss of or loss of use of both hands, or Legal Blindness) grant, please contact us via this inquiry form with a copy of your SAH (or SHA for loss of or loss of use of both hands, or Legal Blindness) grant rating narrative.
