Circle of Honor
Members of our Circle of Honor play a crucial role by providing philanthropic support for our mission of supporting severely injured Veterans in their recovery through the gift of a specially adapted home.
Homes for Our Troops (HFOT), a publicly funded 501©(3) nonprofit organization, relies on the generosity of patriotic individuals to continue their mission of building and donating specially adapted custom homes nationwide for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans, to enable them to rebuild their lives. As HFOT celebrates its 20th year of service, we wanted to honor and acknowledge those who have contributed significantly at our major gift level of $5,000 per year or more. We feel honored to partner with these donors and recognize them through the Circle of Honor.
You’re in good company!
Homes For Our Troops Circle of Honor consists of philanthropic and patriotic people committed to creating a meaningful difference in the lives of post-9/11 severely injured veterans of our nation.

- HFOT offers a lifetime of assistance to Veterans and their families after home delivery, and a dedicated staff remains in close contact to support Veterans as they rebuild their lives.
- Since its inception in 2004, nearly 90 cents of every dollar spent has gone directly toward our program services for Veterans.
- HFOT has been evaluated as one of America’s top-rated Veterans and Military charities.
- HFOT carefully manages our build schedule with our revenue flow to ensure we continue to build a home for every Veteran brought into our program.
- HFOT provides a pro-bono financial planner to each Veteran for three years to assist in financial planning and household budgeting.
- HFOT places a 10-year lien on the home to protect the Veteran from losing the home to foreclosure. This also protects the donations that our supporters entrust to our care.

The Circle of Honor: Life-Changing Impact
The concept of this group emerged in 2020 when Homes For Our Troops experienced a surge of support from its top contributors in response to the pandemic. During that challenging time, these donors provided incredible generosity and kindness to our Veterans which sustained our mission. Today, HFOT continues to see significant growth in revenue, and we are deeply grateful to have the support of additional donors while we increase construction efforts throughout the country with the goal of helping more Veterans. As inflation impacts our work, our major donors have stepped up to assist with the increased costs of land, lumber and other building materials due to inflation. As we enter our twentieth year, HFOT’s Circle of Honor aims to recognize donors who helped establish a foundation of support for our mission and our remarkable Veterans.
