Gloria Birckhead has loved every minute of watching her son, Navy PO1 Timothy Birckhead, regain his freedom and independence since they received their home in 2017. As Tim’s fulltime caregiver, Gloria often reflects on Tim’s improved quality of life.
“Tim’s quality of life has improved 150 percent. I have witnessed him go from staying in bed most of the time to getting up every day and going out four to six days a week. The home has been life-changing,” she says. “Thank you, thank you, thank you for your generosity. We will forever hold the happiness, peace, and joy you have given to an injured Veteran and his mother in our hearts.”
