On Monday, July 13, 2020, Homes For Our Troops is hosting its 2nd Annual Day of Giving, a 24-hour online fundraising event with a goal of raising $300,000. The HFOT National Board of Directors has generously agreed to collectively match every contribution until we reach $150,000 in donations!
This is an opportunity for you to join HFOT’s critical mission of building and donating specially adapted custom homes for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans, enabling them to rebuild their lives. Last year’s event was an incredible success and together, with your help, we can make this year’s even greater!
“By donating to our mission on July 13 during our second annual Day of Giving, you’ll be helping us build the specially adapted custom homes these Veterans need in order to stay independent and carry out their daily activities such as bathing, cooking, or tucking a child into bed at night,” says HFOT Board Chairman GEN (ret.) Richard Cody.
“This home has improved my daily life by giving me the room to move around freely, and it has given me and my family safety and security,” says HFOT home recipient Army Sergeant Patrick Wickens.
There are still 1,000 to 1,500 severely injured Veterans like SGT Wickens in need of adapted homes. Your continued support brings us closer to reaching our goal of ensuring every Veteran who qualifies for a home, receives one.
