How to hold a fundraiser for injured Veterans in 2021

Bob Riley, former Governor of Alabama, once said, “Hard times don’t create heroes.  It is during the hard times when the hero within us is revealed”

Webster’s Dictionary defines a hero as a person admired for achievements and qualities, and we couldn’t think of a better way to describe our fundraisers. While the world struggled to adjust to a new way of life this past year, many people rose to the occasion by helping their families, their friends, their communities, and Homes For Our Troops.

At HFOT, we take great pride in our mission of Building Homes and Rebuilding Lives, and we know this is only possible due to the generosity, dedication and kindness of our amazing supporters, donors, volunteers, and fundraisers.  We are filled with new dreams, goals, and the desire to build more homes for our deserving Veterans in 2021.

We are also filled with renewed hope and are excited to work with people nationwide to assist with their fun and creative fundraisers. HFOT has seen many exciting ways to help our Veterans such as:

  • Zoom Trivia Events
  • YouTube Channels
  • Online Fundraising Pages
  • Virtual Golf Tournaments
  • Read-A-Thons
  • Fishing Tournaments
  • Outdoor Golf Outings
  • Christmas Tree Pick-ups
  • Game of Thrones Birthday Bash

This list is just a small snapshot as to how you can help HFOT because there is no limit when FUN-draising! All you need to do is find something you enjoy, think of an idea, contact us, and let the collaborative work begin.

Besides our Annual Top 10 List, HFOT is happy to announce our new fundraising award category for 2021:  Most Creative Fundraiser. This new category will not be donation based, so put your thinking caps on, join the fun, and reach out now!  Our fundraising team is ready and willing to happily assist you with your fundraising endeavors, so please contact them at ifundraising@hfotusa.org.
