25 EMPLOYEES CAn RAISE $500
- Designate a specific day to have some fun with work place dress codes – allow jeans or shorts, or suggest employees wear their most patriotic outfit. Recruit 25 coworkers to donate $20 to participate and raise enough money to fund a specially adapted feature such as safety grab bars for a Veteran’s home. Consider adding a “Best Dressed” trophy to entice some friendly competitiveness!
15 DEPARTMENTS OR TEAMS CAN RAISE $1,500
- Organize a virtual walk for your company by encouraging groups to take on the task of raising $100 each. Together, teams can raise enough funds to pay for widened doorways within the home, ensuring the Veteran has access to all areas of his home in his/her wheelchair.
500 EMPLOYEES AND CUSTOMERS CAN RAISE $2,500
- Design a one-time fundraising event or payroll deduction that has a $5 minimum donation. If 500 employees participate, this fundraiser will provide funding to build a safe, accessible, roll-in shower for a Veteran’s specially adapted custom home.
- Support your company’s health and wellness incentive program by joining the Homes For Our Troops running team: Team HFOT. Each year more than 500 runners participate in eight major races throughout the United States.
