SSG CHRISTIAN BAGGE
Mission Accomplished on February 5, 2011!
SSG Christian Bagge was serving in Iraq when he was severely injured on June 3, 2005, just south of Kirkuk. During a routine road-clearing mission about 100 miles north of Baghdad, the explosive power of the two bombs tossed the soldier’s Humvee into the air.
Before receiving his specially adapted home, Christian was living in a home that was not wheelchair accessible. All the bedrooms were upstairs and the doorways were not large enough to accommodate a wheelchair. As Christian says, “If your home is not accessible, it can quickly become a prison.”
Thank you to everyone who donated supplies, labor, and money to this project. Without people like you, none of this would’ve been possible.
Christian and his wife Melissa now have two kids and he works part time for the county sheriff department.
