West Point Grads Helping Grads

Categories: Blog, Home

In the Winter issue of West Point Magazine, the Eyes Right feature Grads Helping Grads with New Homes spotlights Homes For Our Troops and the graduates whose commitment to service continues long after graduation. For generations of West Point graduates, service to others doesn’t end at graduation—it simply takes new forms. The bonds forged along the Long Gray Line have meant showing up for one another long after the uniform comes off.

Nowhere is that commitment more evident than in the work of Homes For Our Troops (HFOT), where graduates are helping fellow graduates—and their families—rebuild lives forever changed by service and sacrifice. From adapting homes for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans to leading the organization that makes those homes possible, West Point alumni are deeply embedded in HFOT’s mission.

The stories that follow—of future HFOT home recipients Captain Christian Fierro ’04,  Lieutenant Colonel Toby Prudhomme ’96, Captain Jason Pak ’11, and others—highlight how graduates are not only honoring that bond, but transforming it into something tangible: safe, accessible homes that restore independence, dignity, and hope for the future.
