On Sunday, Feb. 12, 2023, the players of the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs are facing off at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, with hopes of securing the coveted Vince Lombardi trophy. While both contenders are rivals for the big game, both teams are already champions for severely injured Veterans.

The Eagles contributed to Homes For Our Troops’ Annual Veterans Day Celebrity Auction this past November. Heisman Trophy-winning wide receiver DeVonta Smith donated a signed jersey that was auctioned off.

The Chiefs have also shown their support for severely injured Veterans. HFOT home recipient Marine Sgt Dustin Johns (Lee’s Summit, MO) has been a special guest at Kansas City Chiefs games through the organization Operation Warrior Wishes.
