The Paralympics begin this week in PyeongChang and future HFOT home recipient Marine Corporal Luke McDermott will be competing with the U.S. Sled Hockey Team.

Luke has played in two International Paralympic Committee Sled Hockey World Championships and four World Sled Hockey Challenges. This is his first time competing in the Paralympics.

Homes For Our Troops began construction for Luke’s home in Clayton, N.Y. this past summer. Learn more about his story and how to get involved with his project here.

The opening ceremonies will commence the games on March 9 and can be viewed on television and online through NBC’s website. Check out the U.S. Sled Hockey’s schedule here.

Homes For Our Troops wishes Luke and the rest of Team USA the best of luck during the games!
