Fundraising Minimums

All new Team HFOT members must raise a minimum of $600.
All past Team HFOT runners in good standing must raise a minimum of $500.
Fundraising minimums must be met by race weekend, January 7, 2016.

Headquarters for everything you need to prepare for race weekend is at runDisney Health & Fitness Expo at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. The Expo is where you’ll pick up your official race number and packet, check out the newest Official Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend Merchandise, and get a sneak peek at the latest in apparel and fitness equipment. The Expo will also showcase a Speaker Series that includes appearances by celebrity runners and seminars on training, racing, and nutrition featuring speakers and panelists from the world of running.

 

Race Packet Pick-Up

All participants in the Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend presented by Cigna® are required to attend Packet Pick-up, located at the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo to retrieve their bib.  Runners are required to download their personalized race number pick-up card and waiver online (available approximately one month prior to the event).

*Participants must attend Packet Pick-up at the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo to receive their race packet, bib, and tech shirt. Finisher medals will be distributed to finishers during the race. None of these items will be mailed to registrants that did not participate.

Packet Pick-up is not available on race morning.

 

Team Hotel

Hotel Information: Team HFOT has a room block at a Walt Disney World® Resort Hotel! Please refer to your team emails for information on how to book your room. We encourage everyone to take advantage of this room block. Walt Disney World® Resort Hotels offer free transportation to and from Orlando International Airport, Walt Disney World® Theme Parks, and each race event.

 

Homes for Our Troops Team Pasta Dinner 

Homes for Our Troops will be hosting a Team Dinner on Saturday, January 9, 2016! Stay tuned for more details!

 

Spectators

Team HFOT Cheering Brigade T-Shirts

Each Team HFOT runner will be provided with two free Cheering Brigade shirts for your family! These bright yellow t-shirts make it easy for you to spot your family along the race course.  Additional shirts can be purchased for $10 each.

Shuttles & Parking

Shuttles
Getting around is easy for Walt Disney World® Resort guests during the Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend. Buses will be indicated by Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend signs placed in the front windows and will run every 20 minutes from Walt Disney World® Resorts to the following events:

runDisney Health & Fitness Expo:

    • Wednesday, January 6, 9:30am – 7:30pm
    • Thursday, January 7, 8:30am – 6:30pm
    • Friday, January 8, 8:30am – 6:30pm
    • Saturday, January 9, 9:30am – 4:30pm

Last buses will depart from the Expo 30 minutes after it closes.

  • Walt Disney World® 5K presented by Cigna®: Thursday, January 7 | 4:15am – 5:30am and 7:00am – 9:00am
  • runDisney Kids Races: Please use transportation to the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo to reach the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
  • Walt Disney World®  10K presented by Cigna®: Friday, January 8 | 3:30am – 5:00am and 7:00am – 11:00am
  • Walt Disney World®  Half Marathon presented by Cigna®: Saturday, January 9 | 3:00am – 4:00am and 7:00am – 11:00am
  • Walt Disney World® Marathon presented by Cigna®: Sunday, January 10 | 3:00am. – 5:00am and 7:00am – 2:00pm

Please note, Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend Transportation is only provided to and from Walt Disney World® Resorts. If you are staying at a Resort on property, please check with your front desk for a pick-up location. Participants staying at a Walt Disney World® Resort are strongly encouraged to use the event transportation to all Marathon Weekend events. Guests not staying at a Walt Disney World® Resort will need to provide their own transportation to race weekend activities.

 

Parking

Athletes and spectators should plan on arriving at Epcot® by 4:30am on race mornings. The main entrance of Epcot® from World Drive will be closed to all traffic from 5:00am to 7:00am on the mornings of the Half Marathon and Marathon. All traffic will be directed to the Magic Kingdom® Parking Lot where they will be transported to Epcot® via monorail.
