SSG Robert Geer

On September 28, 2011, during his fifth combat deployment, Army Staff Sergeant Robert Geer was serving with Alpha Company, 1-5 INF, 25th Infantry Division as an Infantryman in Panjwai, Afghanistan, when his squad was assigned to clear a compound in a suspected hostile area. While clearing a mud hut, SSG Geer was injured in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast, resulting in damage to both legs, hip and pelvis injuries, left arm injuries, ulnar nerve damage, major tissue damage, and other injuries. He was transferred to Brooke Medical Center.

Originally from West Virginia, Rob is choosing to build his home in Texas.
