Celebrating Independence Day means something different for everyone. For some, it’s having cookouts, spending time with family, or watching fireworks. For severely injured Veterans, celebrating freedom on the Fourth of July holds a special significance. This is why Homes For Our Troops feels it is our duty to restore independence to the brave men and women who sacrificed so much while defending our country with the gift of a specially adapted custom home.
Homes For Our Troops’ supporters give Veterans like Marine Sergeant Adam Kisielewski the ability to soar above their dreams – literally. Since receiving his HFOT home in 2011, Adam has earned his pilot’s license, started motorcycle riding, and received his master’s degrees in policy at Georgetown University. Most importantly, he has no boundaries within his home, enabling him to focus on his family.
“This house, my bike, the sky, make every day a holiday,” Adam says.
