Special thanks to Jake Tapper, George Clooney, Wynonna Judd, and all the other celebrities and artists who contributed items!

Homes For Our Troops is thrilled to announce its third annual Veterans Day Celebrity Auction offered through eBay for Charity. Bidding for this special online auction event will go live on eBay Nov. 7, 2019 at 4 p.m. PST, 7 p.m. EST, and will close on Nov. 17, 2019. Proceeds will benefit the Homes For Our Troops (HFOT) mission to build and donate specially adapted custom homes for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans, enabling them to rebuild their lives. The charity auction will give shoppers the opportunity to bid on once-in-a-lifetime experiences, luxury items, and autographed memorabilia from various movie stars, musicians, and sports figures to help achieve the nonprofit’s mission.

CNN’s Jake Tapper, a longtime HFOT supporter and Mission Ambassador, along with George Clooney and HFOT Mission Ambassador Wynonna Judd, have enlisted the help of friends, namely movie stars and entertainment icons, to arrange an extensive assortment of auction items up for grabs to benefit Homes For Our Troops this Veterans Day. Tapper’s fellow Celebrity Auction co-host and actor George Clooney, has generously donated his Omega Seamaster 300 Gold Watch to auction off. Other celebrities who have donated items include: Alyssa Milano, Ben Stiller, Chris Evans, Conan O’Brien, Dave Matthews, Jason Bateman, Jimmy Kimmel, Judd Appatow, Matt Damon, Mindy Kaling, Peter Kuper, Seth Meyers, Shonda Rhimes, Tom Richmond, Trevor Noah, Weird Al Yankovic, and many more.

“It’s an honor to be an Ambassador for Homes For Our Troops and to work with the group and eBay on our annual Celebrity Auction again. The event raises awareness and funds for the incredible work Homes For Our Troops does by giving participants the opportunity to bid on experiences and items from their favorite celebrities. We’ve received a great amount of support from well-known stars, musicians, artists, sports figures and more, and hope to make this year’s auction even more of a success.” – Jake Tapper

“Homes For Our Troops is an amazing nonprofit that builds and donates adapted homes to our nation’s most severely injured Veterans. I am honored to take part in the auction again, and I look forward to spreading the word about HFOT’s important mission this Veterans Day,” says George Clooney.

Country music icon Wynonna Judd, who along with Tapper serves as a Mission Ambassador for HFOT, is lending her star power to the cause as well. “I am truly excited to be a part of this Veterans Day Celebrity Auction and give back to HFOT and our nation’s injured Veterans,” says Judd. “I’ve witnessed this organization change the lives of Veterans and their families for the better through the gift of a specially adapted home, and I’m proud and blessed to help them do even more of their miraculous work through this initiative.”

The VIP experiences include lunch with Colin Hanks and the cast of HBO’s Band of Brothers. “I am honored and extremely excited to help contribute to our Vets through this incredible organization. From the moment I was introduced to HFOT I knew I had to get involved. Putting this lunch together seemed like a fun and appropriate way to help contribute and create something special. Speaking on behalf of the other guys, we are looking forward to this memorable afternoon in honor of those who have done so much for our country.”  – Colin Hanks

“We are preparing for another tremendous auction with Jake Tapper and his team,” says HFOT President Tom Landwermeyer. “Partnering with big name celebrities and public figures helps us place a spotlight on the critical need of adapted housing for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans.”

“We are proud to partner with Homes For Our Troops for the third year in a row for their Veterans Day auction,” says Brenda Halkias, General Manager of eBay for Charity. “Last year’s auction raised almost $160,000 and this year is bringing even more exciting inventory and experiences from notable celebrity supporters.”
