Paying It Forward

As a non-profit organization that strives to provide the level of services that we do, HFOT is reliant on the assistance of countless volunteers, including our veterans and their families, to advance its cause throughout the country. The countless hours you give of time and talent, whether it be holding or attending a check presentation or fundraiser, or speaking at an event to raise awareness about HFOT, all go a long way to bolster support for what we do. Homes for Our Troops would like to extend a big thank you to the following individuals for helping advance its mission:

Marco Robledo attended the Army Ten Miler pre-race dinner and pumped up Team HFOT runners. Marco talked  about the importance of their fundraising efforts and the difference they are making in the lives of severely injured veterans (see Team HFOT news below for more info).  Also in attendance were Brian Jergens and his wife Jennifer. Brian also rode his recumbent bike at the Army Ten Miler. Congrats Brian!

Adam Kisielewski also came out to talk to Marine Corps Marathon runners before their big race. The HFOT MCM team raised a whopping $100,000 for HFOT! A special congratulations to  HFOT staff members Melanie Auger and Tom Benoit on completing their amazing 26.2 mile accomplishments!  homefront_fall_pic11

Jeffery Williams (pictured center below) accompanied HFOT President/CEO Tim McHale to Brenton Harbor, Mich., to mark the contract signing between Homes for Our Troops and Whirlpool Corp.

A big thank you and congrats go out to Tracy Burk, mother-in-law of Zach Stinson, for her efforts in Paying it Forward for future HFOT veterans. Tracy has worked tirelessly in her community along with the VFW, American Legion and Marine Corps League to coordinate everything from chicken dinners to BINGO nights to help raise upwards of $70,000 for HFOT’s home build projects.
